First let me say that it feels nice that the warm weather has finally arrived, and it’s only going to get better!!!  Woohoo, Summertime is here!!!

 

June is a special month and has many important dates to celebrate.  We start off with school classes coming to an end or some have already ended.  Maybe you are planning graduation parties or have been invited to them.  Some will be taking off on family vacations or some children heading to camp.  Whichever it maybe it sure has a lot of planning behind it all.  Happy planning and enjoy it!

Here are a few facts about June:

 

-In 1784, Elisabeth Thible was the first woman to fly in an untethered hot air balloon.

 

-In 1933 the first American drive-in theater opened in New Jersey.  The admission was 25c per car and an additional 25c per person.

 

-In 2007, Apple released its first mobile phone, the iPhone.

 

-June’s birth month flowers are the rose and honeysuckle.

 

Lastly, June 16th is Father’s day. The first Father’s Day was celebrated in Spokane, Washington.  Happy Father’s Day to all the Dads, Grandpa’s, Brothers-in-Law and Uncles.
